Privacy Policy

Fenix — Effective Date: July 16, 2026

In short: the photos and videos you capture or edit in Fenix are processed on your device and saved to your device — we do not upload or store them on our servers. An account is optional (you can use Fenix as a guest). When you use AR lenses powered by Snap's Camera Kit, camera frames are processed by Snap's technology as described below.

1. Who we are

Fenix ("the App", "we", "us") is a live camera, AR-lens and photo-editing application for Android, developed and published by LUMENIX. This policy explains what information the App handles and the choices you have.

2. Photos, videos & camera

  • Camera frames, captured photos and recorded videos are processed on your device. We do not receive, upload or store your photos or videos.
  • Face-tracking effects (e.g. the phoenix lens) run on-device; face data is used only in real time to position effects and is never stored or transmitted by us.
  • Your creations are saved to your device's storage in the App's own folder, under your control.
  • The microphone is used only while you record a video, to capture its audio. You can deny the microphone permission and still record silent videos.

3. AR lenses powered by Snap (Camera Kit)

Some lenses in Fenix are powered by Snap Inc.'s Camera Kit technology. When you use these lenses, camera input is processed by Camera Kit on your device to render the effect, and Snap may collect limited technical and usage information (such as lens identifiers and performance data) to operate and improve the service, in accordance with Snap's Privacy Policy. Fenix is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, Snap Inc.

4. Optional account (Firebase Authentication)

  • You may create an account with email & password or Google Sign-In, or skip accounts entirely with Continue as guest.
  • If you sign up, your email address and the display name you choose are processed and stored by Google Firebase Authentication to operate your login. See Google's Privacy Policy.
  • We do not use your email for marketing, and we do not sell it.
  • You can sign out at any time from Profile → Sign out. To request deletion of your account data, contact us at the address below.

5. Coins, rewards & filters

Fenix includes a virtual "gold coin" balance earned inside the App (e.g. daily bonuses or watching rewarded ads) and spent on unlocking filters. Coins are stored locally on your device, have no real-money value, and cannot be exchanged or withdrawn.

6. Advertising (Google AdMob)

The App shows ads served by Google AdMob. AdMob may use your device's advertising ID to show and measure ads (personalised or non-personalised depending on your device settings and region). See how Google uses advertising data. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in Android Settings → Privacy → Ads.

7. Notifications

With your permission, Fenix sends local reminders (e.g. daily coin bonuses). These are scheduled on your device — no server is involved. Disable them any time in Android Settings → Apps → Fenix → Notifications.

8. Permissions we request

  • Camera — live camera preview, lenses, and capturing photos/videos.
  • Microphone — audio for videos you record (optional).
  • Photos/Media — picking images you choose to edit and saving results.
  • Notifications — the optional reminders above.
  • Internet / network state — ads, sign-in, and Snap lens delivery.

9. Data retention & deletion

  • Creations, coins and preferences live on your device — uninstalling the App removes them.
  • Account data held by Firebase Authentication is deleted on request (contact us below).
  • Revoke permissions any time via Android Settings → Apps → Fenix → Permissions.

10. Children

Fenix is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the App evolves (for example, if new features change what data is handled). The effective date above always reflects the latest version.
